Civitas wins at HealthInvestor Awards

The team at Civitas are proud to be recognised as ‘Property Investor of the Year’ at this year’s HealthInvestor awards. This award reflects the continued support of our operators across our 1,200 properties providing care, support and education to almost 10,000 individuals.

Launched in 2016, Civitas is a leading impact investor in specialist care and education in the UK, and more recently in Europe, with £3.5 billion of Assets Under Advisory. We believe the best investments make a difference, creating positive impact on people’s lives, communities and on the planet itself.

As an impact property investor with deep knowledge of the sector, we partner with local and national operators who share our goal to provide the highest quality specialist care and education. We work closely with our partners and local authority commissioners to establish key areas with unmet demand ensuring our investments reach those most in need and achieve the greatest social impact.

A highlight of the past year was the appointment of an experienced Quality Assurance Board (QAB) to provide clinical and quality oversight, while engaging with our operators to offer support and an independent perspective.

Despite the challenging economic backdrop during the past 18 months, we have continued investing, and demand for high quality specialist care provision in the sector remains stronger than ever. Following our £200 million sale and leaseback of a portfolio of special schools and care homes with CareTech in December 2022, we have continued to invest in SEN schools, specialist care homes and supported living throughout 2023 and 2024.
