We’re committed to making one-to-one personalised home care more affordable and more accessible throughout the UK – we have the ability to match a care recipient and carer in just 24 hours from the initial inquiry.

Elder mobilised to provide innovative solutions to wider systemic issues. We enhanced our service offering to ease the capacity on the NHS and social services and ensure residential care didn’t become an inevitability for those who didn’t want it.

Everybody has a Bed at Home campaign – partnering with NHS trusts and local authorities to help older people return to and receive personalised one-on-one live-in care after a hospital stay – utilising Elder’s 4,000-plus vetted carer community.

Care Assist Pilot – offers dedicated Elder support that companies can add to their employee benefits packages to help support the 6.5 million people in the UK looking after a loved one. This can include things like free advice about care and subsidised care costs.

Elder has 4,600 vetted and quality-checked independent carers, and they truly make Elder what it is.

To make sure quality carers want to work with us, we addressed the critical challenges levied by carers and pledged not to accept a society that puts carers on its fringes. Fuelled by carer insight and recognised by the Home Care Awards in 2021, we continued to offer all carers on our platform market-leading package of rewards, remuneration and tools:

  • £720-plus a week, double pay on bank holidays, and paid travel
  • Third-party loyalty rewards, including fuel cards, mental health support and e-learning
  • 24/7 placement helpline (third-party provider)
  • Using the Elder Hub Android and iOS app to set their own working preferences, build customer work schedules, manage their loyalty rewards, plus many other benefits.
