Ascenti is delighted to have won Primary Care Provider of the Year and IT Innovator of the Year at the HealthInvestor Awards 2023, for the second year in a row.
We are the leading independent UK provider of musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy and mental health services, and selected clinical outsourcing solutions, to both the public and private sectors.
Our workforce of over 800 employees includes the largest directly employed physiotherapy network in the independent sector, with 300 Ascenti physiotherapists delivering high-quality care nationwide. We are a trusted partner to 14 NHS ICBs, 400 private businesses and all major UK PMI providers, serving NHS patients, pay-as-you-go customers and people covered by an insurer or employer.
Ascenti is a responsive, agile business and we are constantly shaping new products and services for the benefit of our patients and partners.
The double win highlights why Ascenti is the partner of choice for organisations looking to procure high-quality physiotherapy for their service users.
Over the last five years, Ascenti has been firmly established as the market-leading provider of digital physiotherapy. Our multi-award-winning virtual service continues to achieve strong patient outcomes and high satisfaction and we have delivered more than eight million minutes of virtual physiotherapy appointments. This cohesive end-to-end digital pathway is facilitated by our patient app, Ascenti Physio, which has been used by more than 250,000 patients.
As market leaders, Ascenti continues to innovate and raise the bar. We recently launched Ascenti Reach, a hybrid app-based physiotherapy service that includes digital triage, personalised video-led exercise plans and 24/7 access to online clinician support.
Ascenti also offers premium advanced physiotherapy services to both NHS and PMI customers which enable patients to be reviewed by a senior clinician and receive advanced care such as imaging, diagnostics and injections within a primary care setting.
More recently we have redesigned our commercial models and funding framework to allow customers (including corporates, small businesses, NHS providers and insurers) to purchase physiotherapy services across various pricing models, including per capita, annual active licence and risk and reward.
We aspire to high standards in all we do and put our patients’ wellbeing above all else. Our extensive clinical footprint allows us to deliver 95% of our work in-house and we boast the lowest panel utilisation in the sector, delivering cost benefits and quality assurances to our clients.
Chief executive of Ascenti, Stephanie Dobrikova, commented: “We’re over the moon to win Primary Care Provider of the Year and IT Innovator of the Year for a second time. This huge achievement is dedicated to the entire Ascenti team, with our clinicians, digital team, and customer and business support staff all playing their part in delivering a fantastic experience and positive outcomes for our patients.”
